Alicia's PETA Ad Too Carnal For TV

PETA members typically try to stay from flesh - but it looks like Alicia Silverstone might not have gotten the message! According to People, the actress' advocacy ad just got pulled in the Houston area for its racy content; the article quotes a spokesperson for Comcast Cable as citing the campaign's nudity as the reason behind its decision to pull the clips. But if Comcast's decision was made to help the furor hopefully die down, they could have done, er, a slightly better job - the ads are still scheduled to run in Dallas, they're still available to be viewed on PETA's own website, and thanks to Comcast's decision, now everyone's talking about 'em!
This isn't the first time a PETA ad's made use of nudity - around nine months ago, Pam Anderson stripped down to her birthday suit to raise the profile of the fight to preserve animal rights. Betcha that wasn't all she raised!
