Sheryl Crow ELLEPARTY040507_07_X17.jpg Sheryl Crow is giving a free download of her new album "Detours" to the first 50,000 people who register three friends to vote, according to the Associated Press.

Sheryl's gift is a kickoff to Rock The Vote's voter registration drive, an organization the Grammy-winning singer helped start 18 years ago. Rock The Vote hopes to register 2 million new voters by November, according to executive director Heather Smith. With the help of celebs like Sheryl, Christina Aguilera, Justin Timberlake and Madonna, it's a great way to encourage the younger generation to get politically active. Smith states, "These musicians speak to millions of people every day so for them to use their voices to inspire people is a key part of our program."
