Heather Locklear BlogHeatherDUI.jpgHeather Locklear has been charged with a misdemeanor count of driving under the influence in Santa Barbara County.

Santa Barbara County Deputy District Attorney Lee Carter told X17online that although "absolutely no alcohol or illegal drugs were found in her system," toxicology reports revealed Lockelear was under the influence of prescription medication which "could have impaired her ability to safely operate a motor vehicle."

Carter would not reveal what prescription drugs Locklear had allegedly taken because of privacy rules.

If convicted Locklear could face a fine and up to six months in county jail, however Carter told X17online, first time offenders like Locklear are often given probation.
