American-born Madonna topped a list of the most written-about celebs of the previous decade in the UK, coming in number one with 45,633 articles in print.

Although Madge, who married Brit Guy Ritchie ten years ago, dominated the press for the first six years of the 2000s, losing out in 2007 to celebs Kate Moss, Amy Winehouse, Britney Spears and Victoria Beckham, according to a study commissioned by online UK TV channel Liv.

Number two on the list was Robbie Williams, with 27,976 mentions. Britney Spears, who practically owned the decade in the US (due to her colossal successes and even bigger breakdowns) just missed out on the number two spot to come in at 3 in the UK with 27,910.
