Most of us knew Casey Johnson as the sweet socialite/party princess who hung out with the Hilton sisters and recently got engaged to Tila Tequila, but when the news broke that she was found dead at her Hollywood home, everyone wanted to know more about the troubled starlet.

The 30-year-old Johnson & Johnson heiress had a long history of drug and alcohol abuse, and it's being reported that diabetes may have played a role in her untimely passing. Johnson was previously hospitalized twice for slipping into a diabetic coma, and several websites claim that insulin syringes were found in her home after her body was discovered. Sources say that Casey had been neglecting her treatment, and rather than focusing on her emotional and physical health, she would stay out and party all night.

A source tells Fox News, "Casey has been wild since her teenage years and never really slowed down. Her family often cut off her money and asked her to get help and get her life together." So how was she surviving? The source says Casey begged her friends for money, claiming that she needed it for her 3-year-old adopted daughter Ava.

The only problem? Casey's parents, New York Jets owner Woody Johnson and socialite Sale Johnson removed the child from her custody in 2008 after finding her in less than suitable living conditions. "Casey would claim she needed the money for baby Ava, but all of her friends knew that her mother had taken Ava to live with her," the source added. "Her life was out of control, and she couldn't take care of [her child]."

Setting aside her family and money troubles, Casey had a rollercoaster of a love life, as evident from her drama with ex-girlfriends Jasmine Lennard and Courtenay Semel. Just a few months ago, Casey was arrested for allegedly stealing jewelry and other valuables from Jasmine, and it's been reported that Courtenay was the one who turned her in to the police. In January of 2009, Courtenay lit Casey's hair on fire after a squabble, so when the heiress announced her engagement to reality TV vixen Tila Tequila on December 9, 2009, it seemed like she had finally found true love.

Though some people speculated that the engagement was just a way for the ladies to get back at Courtenay (whom they had both dated and had major drama with over the past several years), the couple seemed pretty smitten to us when we chatted with them on December 10. Though Tila just confessed that the two had a minor quarrel on December 28, it didn't seem like anything that would have pushed Casey over the edge.

The Los Angeles County coroner has completed Casey's autopsy, and while results have been deferred, the coroner did release a statement saying there was "no evidence of trauma to the body," which seems to support LAPD's theory that Casey died of natural causes.

So what went wrong? The last time we saw her, she seemed so happy and in love...
