karapix230.jpgThe world apparently knew that Kara DioGuardi will not be on the next season of American Idol ... before she, herself, found out. That's what her dad, Republican senate candidate Joe DioGuardi tells New York TV show, Capital Tonight.

After revealing that his daughter has been given the silent treatment from FOX since she was let go, Papa DioGuardi talks about Kara's anger about the way it all went down ... and explains how she found out about her AI dismissal.

"She read it the way you did and I did. Her disappointment is that that's the way she's being treated and she feels that's not proper. I think they're trying to create a lot of buzz ... they're trying to reformat the thing. But Kara has a very deep career in music ... she'll be fine. Would she want to do it another year? I think so ... I think at some point [she] will confront them on that."

As for who will be filling Kara, Ellen and Simon's judging positions ... looks like Steven Tyler and Shania Twain are pretty good possibilities. Sounds like it's going to come down to the almighty dollar. Cha-ching!
