prattmontag230.jpgHeidi Montag and Spencer Pratt are not only coming clean about their fake divorce, but the reality couple says they're facing bankruptcy after blowing through $10 million, according to Life and Style.

Pratt, who says MTV canceling The Hills came as a shock, tells L&S:

"We thought The Hills was going to be like [the original] 90210 and we'd have another five to 10 years. The ratings were consistent. But we never saw Jersey Shore coming. Our cast was a bit boring and snoozeworthy in comparison. No wonder we got cancelled. We were immature, worrying too much about the famous part instead of the actual business part. In hindsight, we shouldn't have spent any of our money. We should have been low-key and saved. We did this to ourselves and feel like idiots."

In addition to owing $2 million in taxes, Montag is now regretting the money spent on her plastic surgery procedures. She says:

"I spent thousands on the procedures and after-care. I had private nurses coming twice a day for two months for treatments and bandage chances. Each time they came it cost $2000. I wish I didn't waste so much money on it."

After spending hundreds of thousands on cars and $35-thousand-a-month on rent for a Malibu mansion, the couple admits to living a little too large. So why the fake divorce? Spencer admits:

"Divorcing was the only way to keep Heidi's career going because everyone hated me so much."

He also claims UK Network ITV had offered them a show to document the divorce ... but the deal fell through. In case the show ends up happening, how bout' the title Lifestyles of the Pathetic and Not-So-Famous?

Reality check.
