Well-known Hollywood publicist Ronni Chasen, who represents celebrities like Michael Douglas, was shot to death in Beverly Hills while driving home from the premiere of Burlesque at the Grauman's Chinese Theater.

The Beverly Hills Police Department tell X17online that shots were reported just before 12:30am in the area of Sunset Blvd and Whittier Drive. Around the same time, a call came in reporting an accident at the same location.

When police arrived, they tell us Chasen's black Mercedes E350 had crashed into a light pole, and Chasen was found in the front seat with gunshot wounds to her chest.

After being transported to Cedars-Sinai, the coronor's office tells X17online she was pronounced dead at 1:12am. The coronors confirm they're currently performing an autopsy and will most likely have the results by tomorrow or Thursday, at the latest. Suicide has been ruled out.

Just before her death, Chasen had been promoting Michael Douglas for Best Supporting Actor for Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, as well as Alice In Wonderland 3D for Best Picture.

Authorities have yet to name a suspect.
