angieupdate10.jpgAngelina Jolie is standing up against the "one person who has a gripe" with her directorial debut, United Love Story ... the story of a love affair between a Serbian man and a Bosnian Muslim woman on the eve of the 1992-95 war.

The actress has been accused by a war victims' group of having an "ignorant attitude towards victims," and as a result, they are asking for her ambassador title to be taken away.

35-year-old Jolie, who says that 95 percent of the cast lived through the war, tells the Associated Press:

"The absolute majority of the people, population, the cast, prime minister, president have been extremely supportive."

Critics have also blasted the film for being a story about a Bosnian woman who falls in love with a Serbian man who rapes her. Jolie, who asks war victims to hold their judgment until after seeing the film, adds:

"There are many twists in the plot that address the sensitive nature of the relationship between the main characters."

United Love Story is expected to hit theaters next summer.
