We're thrilled to see some of our favorite actors, writers and directors nominated for Oscars this year, but we definitely feel for some of the stars who were left off of the Academy's list!

Justin Timberlake (The Social Network) and Mila Kunis (Black Swan) were both overlooked for their supporting roles, and Ryan Gosling (Blue Valentine), Mark Wahlberg (The Fighter), Julianne Moore (The Kids Are All Right), Halle Berry (Frankie and Alice) and Spiderman star Andrew Garfield (The Social Network) were noticeably absent from the acting categories as well. Golden Globe winner Paul Giamatti wasn't nominated for his role in Barney's Version, and though Inception earned 10 nominations, Leonardo DiCaprio failed to land a spot in the best actor category.

Jeremy Renner received a supporting actor nomination for The Town, but director and Academy darling Ben Affleck certainly wasn't feeling the love, as that was the only category in which his film was nominated. Though the much buzzed about Country Strong opened in 2011, it began its limited release in late December (thus making it a possible contender for the Oscars), but the only recognition Gwyneth Paltrow and company received was an original song nod for Coming Home.
