marspicnew.jpgSinger Bruno Mars will avoid jail time after his lawyers struck a plea deal involving his Las Vegas arrest last September for cocaine possession at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.

Mars had plead guilty to possession of a controlled substance.

The Grenade singer has completed 200 hours of community service, and if he manages to stay out of trouble for the next year, the charge will not go on his permanent record.

Mars was also ordered to pay a $2000 fine.
