Despite the fact that she's currently on trial for allegedly stealing a $2,500 necklace from a Venice jewelry store, Lindsay Lohan's friend and possible jewelry line collaborator, designer Pascal Mouawad says he still trusts Lilo with his treasures.

When asked by X17online photogs outside of Katsuya last night if he would still lend Lindsay jewelry after her latest legal troubles, Mouawad said "Always!"

He also told us that "Lindsay's doing great," despite facing felony theft charges:

Lohan's attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley, plans to push for a misdemeanor plea deal for her client, arguing that the "fair market value" of the necklace is actually less than $1000 (rather than $2500) which would categorize it under the less severe "misdemeanor" crime instead of a felony.
