Alex Pettyfer, star of Beastly and I Am Number Four, was poised to become Hollywood's next big thing. Between a British accent and stunning good looks, it seemed he could not do wrong.
Appearances can be deceiving.
In a new interview with VMAN magazine, 21-year-old Pettyfer goes no-holds-barred, and insults women and the entertainment industry.
First, he tells the mag that he has a tattoo above his crotch that reads "Thank you." His explanation? "In case I forget to say it," he said while winking.
We wonder how Pettyfer's ex, Glee's Dianna Agron, felt about that.
Pettyfer also showed disrespect for the city and industry that are making him famous. He called Los Angeles a "s***hole."
Los Angeles is the socially disgusting one?
Pettyfer even had the nerve to complain about his success.
Being an actor is like being in prison? Really? Yeah, we often confuse the red carpet with cell bars and Armani tuxes with orange jumpsuits.
This new interview adds to a growing pile of rumors about the star. We hear from our sources that he was a nightmare to work with on Beastly.
Also, see what very reputable publication found after doing some digging on the Brit, and what major movie role he just lost out on after the jump.
The Hollywood Reporter also ran an article in February about Pettyfer's diva behavior on set. Appearances can be deceiving.

- "Geographically it's fantastic, but socially it's disgusting. I wish they'd run all the c***s out."

- "Being an actor is like being in prison. You go, you serve your time, you try and replicate Johnny Depp's career and then you move to Paris."

The magazine isn't known for gossip reporting and it's read by Hollywood executives and agents, meaning bad news for Pettyfer.
The article said that Pettyfer was so bad on the set of I Am Number Four that the CEO of Dreamworks had to intervene.
The magazine quoted a producer on Pettyfer: "Pick your words: ambitious, hungry, cocky, very ahead of himself."
It also reported that rumors around Hollywood are that the actor is demanding too much money for his roles -- supposedly he asked for close to $10 million for an upcoming film.
Considering he's only been in a few movies and got paid just $250,000 for I Am Number Four, which was no huge hit at the box office, that's quite the salary jump.
And all the diva behavior seems to be having its consequences. Pettyfer was reportedly in the running for the lead role of Peeta in the Hunger Games movie, a highly coveted part in young Hollywood, but lost out to Josh Hutcherson of The Kids Are All Right (who, incidentally, has been spotted out with Pettyfer's Beastly co-star, Vanessa Hudgens.)
