The actor will not be charged for allegedly attacking his wife during a drunken argument in New Orleans last month, because the New Orleans District Attorney's Office investigators did not have enough evidence to go forward.

Cage's attorney Harry Rosenberg said in a statement: "We are pleased that the process led to the correct result, despite inaccurate media reports, and that Nick has been cleared and all charges have been dropped."

Cage was arrested on April 16 and charged with domestic abuse and disturbing the peace, after having a very heated argument in the French Quarter with wife Alice Kim, according to the New Orleans Police Department.

Cage was allegedly highly intoxicated as he grabbed Kim in a violent manner, and couldn't remember where he lived when police arrived on the scene.
