Even though The Jersey Shore cast is in Italy filming what's expected to be the cast's last season, America doesn't have to worry about losing its fill of "The Situation."
Mike Sorrentino, i.e. "The Situation," has inked a development deal with MTV.
He's expected to film a pilot for a series of his own later this year. MTV has already given the go ahead to two other Shore spinoffs; one featuring the antics of Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and Jenni "JWoww" Farley as they live together, the other with Paul "DJ Pauly D" Delvecchio.
Each will launch in 2012.
Jersey Shore is MTV's top-rated series ever and the No. 1 original cable series among young adults today.
The show's third season had viewership gains in the 12-34 demo of 35 percent compared to the second season and nearly tripled the season one numbers.
Would you watch a TV show that was all about The Situation?
See what the man (or the abs) himself had to say about his new deal after the jump!
"I'm excited to continue my relationship with MTV, which has been home for me for the last couple of years," Sorrentino said. "I'm really grateful for all the support from my fans. Hopefully, there will be plenty more situations in the future."Mike Sorrentino, i.e. "The Situation," has inked a development deal with MTV.
