Hollywood gave a wave to the new royal couple Saturday night as Prince William and Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, turned out for BAFTA's Brits to Watch 2011 gala.

Not only did some of LA's biggest celebrities get a bit star-struck seeing the young couple, fans outside the Belasco Theater were shrieking with excitement as they caught a glimpse of Kate, 29, in her white Alexander McQueen dress and William, clad in a traditional black tuxedo.

Nicole Kidman, Jennifer Lopez (who brought her mom along), Barbra Streisand and others shined on the red carpet before everyone entered for for a formal dinner.

Vice chairman of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, Duncan Kenworthy, addressed all of the guests before the event began, educating those who had never met the royals, how to address Will and Kate:

"They want to meet all of you. They will try and chat to all of you this evening. When you meet them, you don't have to bow and curtsy. You can call them whatever you feel: 'Your Royal Highness,' 'Sir,' 'Ma'am,' 'William' and 'Kate' – just as the mood takes you."

Everyone minded their P's & Q's, with most of the night's biggest names arriving well ahead of the 8am start time -- a rarity in a town where everyone's always late.
