Amy Winehouse's Dad To Convert Singer's $4 Million London Home Into A Foundation

After the tragic and sudden loss of their talented and troubled daughter, Amy Winehouse, the late singer's parents are planning to turn her $4 million North London home into the headquarters for the Amy Winehouse Foundation charity.

The ten-room mansion will potentially be used for rehab projects and is expected to include "causes close to the singer's heart," the singer's father, Mitch Winehouse, told the Sun.

"It could include help for children in trouble, kids suffering health problems, children's hospices and more. We want to make a positive difference," Winehouse adds.

The Rehab singer was found dead at her London home on July 23, after a very long and public struggle with substance abuse.

Amy's cause of death is still unknown, and toxicology report results aren't expected for several weeks, but Winehouse's family confessed recently they believe Winehouse died of alcohol withdrawal.

The Amy Winehouse Foundation will officially announce its mission statement on Sept. 14, on the singer's 28th birthday, and part of the proceeds will come from her final song, Body and Soul, a duet with Tony Bennett. The song was recorded in March for Bennett's upcoming album. "All the royalties will go to the foundation that Amy's father is starting to teach all the young children not to take drugs," Bennett told The Sun.
