On Wednesday, Britney Spears became the sixth person in Twitter's history to hit 10 million followers.
The Femme Fatale singer had 10,143,802 at press time. She is currently on a national tour for her latest album.
Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, President Barack Obama, Katy Perry and Kim Kardashian make up the others with more than 10 million followers.
Shakira, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Oprah Winfrey, Ellen DeGeneres and Selena Gomez are all in the running to reach the mark next.
