Britney Spears is just about to sign on to be a judge for Simon Cowell's X Factor to the tune of a $15 million contract, according to E! News.

After weeks of negotiating, the pop star is ready to sign on the dotted line, the report claims: "Both camps were back and forth on the money but now they have finally come to agreement on the fee," an insider tells the show.

A second source tells says Brit's fiance Jason Trawick will get a producer credit on the show and will be on-set daily to "guide [Britney] through the process."

The deal will make Spears the highest-paid judge on TV, eclipsing Jennifer Lopez's $12 million deal for American Idol. Brit is on par to take one of the empty seats left when Cowell fired Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger at the end of the show's first season.
