Kat Von D is being sued by State Farm Insurance for $909,199 after evidence that the 2010 fire which destroyed her Hollywood Hills home was ultimately her fault.
State Farm paid for the damage initially, but TMZ reports that they want the money back because it was the tattoo artist/reality star who left candles burning throughout the house, causing it to go up in flames.
Kat lost her cat Valentine and most of her possessions, and at the time she said of the blaze, “My house burned down last night with my cat inside. Finally get to sleep away the rest of today. Hope tomorrow is gentler. To gain everything, you must lose everything.â€
The suit was filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Tuesday.
Looks like she's going to have to pay up!
