230AJolie031012_01_X17.jpgShe won critical acclaim for her directional debut of In The Land of Blood and Honey, so is Angelina Jolie ready to take on the film adaptation of the steamy romance novel, Fifty Shades of Grey?

The book trilogy has already hit $10 million in sales, so it's only a matter of time before it gets a big screen makeover, but reps for the Oscar winner have so far shot down reports that she's in talks with studio Focus Features to direct the upcoming flick.

Apparently Universal Pictures has been in search of the right filmmaker to pair with the controversial book by EL James, and the studio has already laid down $5 million for the movie rights in a bidding war early this year.

While Jolie has yet to be officially confirmed for the project, both Amanda Seyfried and Kristen Stewart have been named as possible actresses to play main character Anastasia Steele, the young woman who begins an explicit relationship with billionaire businessman, Christian Grey.

We can't wait to see this racy novel come to life on the big screen!
