Carly Rae Jespen, Justin Bieber's new protege, showed that she had what it takes to hang with the Katy Perrys of the world as the young singer won big at the 2012 MuchMusic Video Awards!

The Canadian singer, who's signed to Bieber and his manager Scooter Braun, won three awards, including one for her breakout hit Call Me Maybe. Her mentor Bieber, who brought his little brother Jaxson along, picked up a trophy for best international video of the year by a Canadian with his single Boyfriend.

Speaking of Katy Perry, the California Gurl was not to be outdone as she snagged a win for best international video artist of the year for her single Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.).
