X17online can report exclusively that police detectives paid a visit to Halle Berry's residence today, and they stayed for over an hour! It is unclear the exact reason for the visit, but sources speculate detectives could be reviewing home security footage to determine who initiated the nasty Thanksgiving altercation between Berry's ex Gabriel Aubry and current fiance Olivier Martinez, which sent both men to the hospital.

Aubry suffered broken ribs and a black eye, while Martinez faired slightly better and made out of the incident with a swollen hand.

Aubry was taken into custody following his release from the hospital and charged with battery. In addition, a temporary restraining order requiring him to stay at least 100 yards away from Halle, Nahla, and Martinez was put into place until Dec. 3. He is due back in court on battery charges Thursday, Dec. 13.

According to reports, the scuffle occurred in front of the estranged couple's daughter Nahla, and Berry now plans to use that information to obtain an extended restraining order against the Canadian model.

The Oscar winner isn't the only one who can request a restraining order, though! Aubry just obtained one against Martinez, who he claims threatened him at Nahla's school play a day before the fight, and then attacked him when he went to drop the little girl off the next day. Apparently the French actor was screaming about how Aubry cost the couple $3 million to fight the custody war, and that Aubry better cave and move to France or else he would kill him, according to TMZ. Yikes!

Halle has yet to release a statement on the matter, but she did step out a night after the fight with Nahla to attend a Yo Gabba Gabba! Live! show with armed police protection. Martinez has been laying low, but X17 photographers did just spot him entering a local medical building.
