obama-election-2012.jpgPresident Obama won a second term in the White House Tuesday night, according to network projections.

As of 9pm PST the incumbent president and his running mate, Joe Biden, tallied up more than the required 270 electoral votes, with wins in Ohio, as well as Iowa and Oregon. Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan were leading the popular vote by about 200,000, but those numbers do not yet reflect ballots that were mailed in.

Romney spokeswoman Gail Gitcho told CNN that the Republican candidate was not prepared to immediately concede, but a speech would take place at some point later in the night.
