kate-mi-nurse-230.jpgJacintha Saldanha, the nurse in the Kate Middleton prank call scandal who committed suicide last week, hanged herself with a scarf last week and left several suicide notes, according to UK authorities.

Saldanha's body was discovered by co-workers at her hospital living quarters, and the coroner says she also suffered "some injuries to her wrist." Officials added that Saldanha left behind three suicide notes; two discovered near her body and another one near her belongings.

On December 4, 2DayFM DJs Mel Greig and Michael Christian called the King Edward VII hospital pretending to be Prince Charles and Queen Elizabeth, and Saldanha, who had been caring for Middleton during her stay, fell for the prank. Saldanha then passed the Aussie DJs on to another nurse, who gave away confidential details about the pregnant Duchess. Three days later, she was found dead.

Southern Cross Austereo, who owns 2Day FM, said on Monday that they "terminated" the Australian radio show and plan to implement "a company-wide suspension of prank calls."
