Selena Gomez performed at a benefit concert for UNICEF on Saturday night, and the newly single starlet sang covers of Justin Timberlake's "Cry Me a River" and pal Taylor Swift's "I Knew You Were Trouble." Hmm, is she trying to tell us something?

"I’ve kind of been through a lot these past couple of months, and it’s been really interesting and fun at the same time – and weird and sad, but cool," Selena told the audience. "This song has helped me through a lot, and if anybody knows 'N Sync or, you know, some J.T., you’re gonna know what I’m talking about. But this song definitely speaks to me."

Selena and on-again/off-again beau Justin Bieber ended their relationship the day before New Year's Eve, and on January 1 she tweeted, “New beginnings. Fresh start. I love you all." She later added a photo of herself talking to a Christmas tree with the caption, "Thanks for listening, bet you understand."

Selena still hasn't issued a statement about their split, but oddly enough Bieber covered the same tune back in November and did a way better job. Check out a snippet from his version below and tell us which cover you like better...
