It looks like jail not milk -- does a body good. After spending 17 months of her five-year sentence, disgraced Teen Mom star Amber Portwood was released in November 2013. The 23-year-old single mom has sat down with TV's Dr. Phil, and is finally coming clean about her troubled life, even admitting to years of drug use.

"This is actually my first time on stage sober, so I'm really nervous," she admitted to the Southern talk show host.

During the interview, Amber revealed to the good doc that while filming the MTV reality series she was almost always under the influence of drugs.

"Every time you see me on that show, I am high," she continued. Wowsers! That's quite a statement!

The mother of five-year-old Leah opted for a five-year jail sentence in May 2012 after she relapsed following previous stints in rehab for an addiction to prescription pills.  Portwood was also arrested on a series of domestic violence claims, and as a result attempted suicide in June 2011. Before the attempt, she called her ex-fiance Gary, who is also Leah's father, warning him that she was trying to commit suicide. Police found Portwood semi-conscious with a noose tied around her neck.

When Dr. Phil confronted the reality star about the suicide attempt, he asked her if she wanted to end her life.

"I didn't care," she said.

Amber Portwood's interview with Dr. Phil airs this Friday, Dec. 20.
