Matthew McConaughey Camila Alves Academy Awards luncheon Academy Awards luncheon Sandra Bullock

The 86th Academy Awards nominees luncheon was held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Monday afternoon, and some of Hollywood's biggest names came out for the annual soiree.

Meryl Streep, Cate Blanchett, Amy Adams and Sandra Bullock were among the famous ladies at the bash, and gents included Matthew McConaughey, Ethan Hawke and Jonah Hill. Jennifer Lawrence was noticeably absent (as was Julia Roberts, though she likely cancelled her appearance due to the sudden death of her half-sister Nancy), and though Leonardo DiCaprio was there, he managed to sneak past our photogs but we did get a quick video of him. Typical ... but he really is making the rounds this season, so maybe this will finally be his year?

"Please, get to the stage quicklyreally quickly," Oscars co-producer Craig Zadan instructed the nominees. Winners will be given 45 seconds to to speak, and Zadan suggested that stars skip reading "from a list written on a piece of paper" and instead give a speech that is "personal, funny and heartfelt." Easier said than done...

And we're not just saying this because we want him to win for Dallas Buyers Club, but Jared Leto (and his unbuttoned shirt) pretty much made our day:
