Chris Pine has been charged with in DUI in New Zealand and is scheduled to appear in court on March 17, reports the Associated Press.

The New Zealand Police said in statement that a 33-year-old American was charged with drunken driving March 1 after being stopped near Methven, a South Island town. Reportedly the heartthrob had a blood-alcohol level over the legal .08 percent limit. The man was not named by police, and Pine's agent and publicist could not be reached for comment by the Associated Press on Wednesday.

The 33-year-old Star Trek star is in New Zealand shooting his upcoming film Z for Zachariah, also starring Margot Robbie and Chiwetel Ejiofor. A manager at Blue Pub, Casey Crawford, told local newspaper The Press that Captain Kirk had been celebrating the film's wrap with model girlfriend Iris Bjork Johannesdottir on Feb. 28.

Crawford told the publication that Pine left the bar around 2:30 a.m. "Chris was really good … They were a good crowd, the whole lot of them."
