Everyone needs a little pick me up!

Britney Spears sure wasn't exempt from that on Thursday as she sported a cute floral top and some shorts while making a visit to Starbucks in Westlake.

From the looks of it, you couldn't tell that the 32-year-old singer was under a bit of controversy over her leaked studio session of the song Alien from the 2013 album Britney Jean, in which she's heard without the assistance of vocal effects.

In her defense, sound engineer William Orbit spoke up on the recording to give an explanation for the difference in sound.

"I'd like to affirm that ANY singer when first at the mic at the start of a long session can make a multitude of vocalizations in order to get warmed up," Orbit posted to his Facebook page on July 7. "Warming up is essential if you’re a pro, as it is with a runner doing stretches, and it takes a while to do properly. I’ve heard all manner of sounds emitted during warm-ups."

"Whomever put this on the internet must have done so in a spirit of unkindness, but it can in no way detract from the fact that Britney is and always will be beyond Stellar!" he continued. "She is magnificent! And that’s that."

Well he sure cleared things up! Listen to the recording below and see for yourself!
