After his mugshot went viral and made him an overnight internet sensation, Jeremy Meeks (dubbed the "Hot Convict") made his first appearance in a Stockton, California courtroom today. Meeks' case was turned over to federal prosecutors by the state, and while he could face some serious jail time, his manager spoke exclusively to X17online and revealed that her client has already had offers to model at New York Fashion Week!

Meeks has signed on with manager Gina Rodriguez and veteran agent Jim Jordan, and Rodriguez tells X17online:
"Jeremy has had offers to model at New York Fashion Week and we've [GR Media Firm] had several [modeling] agents reach out to us to discuss [his future]."

When asked if he'd do an exclusive sit down with a major news program, Rodriguez added, "Jeremy may consider one interview when he is released." However, no details have been worked out and his family's main concern is getting him out from behind bars.

Meeks was thrown in jail on $1.1 million bail after being picked up on nearly a dozen weapons charges last month, but according to Sacramento’s KXTV, the only charge he's currently facing is felon in possession of a firearm. That one charge alone could lead to a prison sentence of 10 years and a fine of $250,000.

Though Rodriguez has not met Meeks, she has spoken to him on numerous occasions and she believes that his transition into the entertainment industry could be a positive change for both him and his family. Rodriguez says, "The modeling aspect of his future career will be mainly handled by Jordan," and she previously revealed that she will be focused on getting her bad boy client a reality TV deal.

Rodriguez has worked with Teen Mom star Farrah Abraham, V. Stiviano and "Octomom" Nadya Suleman. She's definitely put them on the map, so we're curious to see what she can do for the prisoner who got hundreds of thousands of women all hot and bothered with his baby blues and hardcore tattoos!

He may not have a lookbook just yet, but several photos from his hearing hit the web today … check them out in the gallery below!
