No, it's not a sweet, sweet fantasy! That really is Mariah Carey performing in Taiwan for the first time in 16 years! The big-voiced singer turned up the volume for the people of Taiwan when she performed at the Taipei World Trade Center Nangang Exhibition Hall on Sunday night, which is the first time she's performed in the country since 1998.

According to the Taipei Times, the newly single songstress got a whopping $900,000 for the concert. With a paycheck like that -- why didn't she come sooner?!

For the big event, Mariah rewore the headline-making metallic dress that she donned during a performance in Shanghai, China, exactly a week before. The 45-year-old caused quite the commotion the week before when she wore the eye-catching dress and her slit exposed a whole lotta leg in Shanghai. Only for last night's performance, Ms. Carey opted for black tights to save herself from another wardrobe malfunction. Good call!

Carey last serenaded the country in 1998 during her Butterfly World Tour. Mariah released her 14th album, Me. I Am Mariah... The Elusive Chanteuse in May.
