It's always good to see celebrities using their star power for a worthy cause and that's exactly what Nicole Kidman and Katie Holmes did on Saturday as they attended the 3rd annual Gold Meets Golden luncheon at the Equinox Sports Club Lounge in West L.A.

The starlets, who were also joined by other notables and Oscar nominees like Maria Shriver, Eddie Redmayne and Laura Dern, were co-hosts for the benefit that will help fund the 7,000 athletes participating in the 2015 Special Olympics World Games.

"I am inspired to join with those who want to make a difference for the 7,000 Special Olympics athletes competing in the World Games this summer,” said Shriver, who's continuing the legacy of her mother Eunice Kennedy Shriver, in a statement. “I want to thank Gold Meets Golden for helping build the awareness that leads to acceptance and inclusion for all people with intellectual disabilities.”

This will mark Kidman's second time co-hosting the event since its inception in 2013. Past hosts of the Gold Meets Golden luncheon include Keith Urban, Jon Bon Jovi, Kerry Washington, Sofia Vergara and Hayden Panettiere.
