Bruce Jenner will be doing a two-hour special with Diane Sawyer, and sources connected to the reality star and the production team tell TMZ that he views the show as "a farewell" to life as a man.

Jenner will "present himself" as a woman for the first time, and while he won't reveal his new name or dress like a lady, apparently he sees this "as the most significant event associated with his sex change." Hey, if this is his coming out and he wants our support, we're here for him!

Bruce will reportedly discuss how he knew he wanted to be a woman at the age of 5, and he also spends time talking about how his gender transition has affected the family. The insider tells TMZ that Bruce hopes doing the interview will help him and educate the public so others struggling with coming out don't have to deal with the same pain.

The interview airs on ABC on April 24th -- mark your calendars!
