For those of you who may have wondered when Britney Spears' conservatorship, which is controlled by father Jamie Spears, would be ending, it looks like the end is nowhere close to nigh. Sources are claiming that the conservatorship will continue indefinitely -- so basically for forever.

"There is no reason to break the conservatorship with everything working so well," a source close to Spears told Us Weekly. "Everything is working perfectly under this arrangement and it will stay that way."

In 2008, Spears' father filed an emergency petition to care for her daughter, who was under a psychiatric medical hold at the time. Under the conservator, Spears has "substantial day-to-day freedom" but is looked after by a team of lawyers, medical personnel and family members, according to TMZ. Britney is actually under two conservatorships ... one for the person and one for finances, adds the site.

Currently, the "Toxic" singer is headlining a full-time residency at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas nightly.

We think an indefinite conservatorship sounds pretty intense but we think BritBrit has done well under it for the past seven years. What Spears' family is doing for their daughter is working -- even if it is rather unconventional.
