In order to avoid having a C-section, Kim Kardashian had a procedure called an ECV - an external cephalic version to manually turn her breech baby over the weekend.

According to the reality star, the procedure was important so she could deliver the baby -- but it was also very painful. The reality star wrote on website kimkardashianwest.com: "They don't give you any pain medication, and let me tell you: This was soooooo painful. Probably more painful than childbirth. BUT it worked!!!"

Apparently hubby Kanye West and her gaggle of sisters were on hand at the hospital in case she went into early delivery of her son.

"There was a risk that my water might break or the baby's heart rate could drop—in which case, an emergency C-section would then take place. I went in with my sisters and my husband. I was prepared for it all!"

The 35-year-old also wrote, "My baby is in the right position and it feels so good to not have the stress of thinking I need a C-section."

The oversharer also overshared about what happened during the procedure, "They gave me an IV with medication to relax my uterus, and then three doctors attempted to work together to turn the baby."

The curvy brunette is back at home resting, but unfortunately she has a sinus infection and the flu.

Last month, the bombshell revealed she'd packed on 52 lbs during her latest pregnancy. She tweeted: "Ok I'm 52 lbs up today....and I still have 6 weeks to go! I got my work cut out for me!!!!"
