A man was shot to death and three other individuals were injured at T.I.'s concert at Irving Plaza in New York City on Wednesday night, according to law enforcement officials.

The shooting occurred backstage around 10:15 p.m. in the third floor green room area of music venue. T.I. was in the building, but not onstage at the time of the incident. A 34-year-old man was shot in the chest and a 33-year-old man was shot in the stomach, and two others were shot in the legs, according to NYPD Detective Hubert Reyes.

“There is security, there’s a security protocol,” Chief William Aubry of the Manhattan South Detective Squad said of the 1,000-person venue. “There are metal detectors in there.”

T.I. was also set to perform at the 1 OAK nightclub later in the evening, but that gig was cancelled by authorities as they work on the scene at Irving Plaza.
