Stand-up citizen Chris Brown got in protest of the national anthem on Sunday, September 11. The entertainer refused to stand while "The Star-Spangled Banner" played at a charity basketball game in Los Angeles.

Umm he did that on 9/11?! Really, dude?!

The 27-year-old singer decision is on the heels of 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick's protest of racial injustice during a recent football game.

R&B singer Tank sang the anthem at the 5th Annual Power 106 Celebrity Basketball Game, but prior to his song, the crooner urged the crowd to stand in respect for the men and women who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks 15 years ago. Recently Brown put out a video in which he defended himself after a police stand off on Tuesday, August 30, at his home Calabasas, Calif.

Brown says in the clip: "I cannot wait till the truth comes to light about this incident and this situation. You know, because my character's been defaced and who I am as a person and my integrity."

Really, dude? Your character's been "defaced"? You're actually going to say that after you defaced Rihanna's actual face?

The unrepentant singer went on, "I'm glad that all my real supporters know me, and know the truth and they'll see the truth."

Yeah we know the truth: you are a woman-beating felon, whose rage issued have been well documented for years ...
