We thought Burning Man was over last week?!

Gigi Hadid and Karlie Kloss kept their hippy-dippy 'dos going strong after walking the runway in Marc Jacobs' fashion show during NYFW on Thursday. While we weren't a fan of the hairstyle 'cause the '90s should be left in the '90s) -- others were quick to express their distaste for the dreaded style because of "cultural appropriation."

Instead of taking off their tresses, the models opted to keep 'em on for the day. People reports that an 12,500 individual pieces dyed in 200 to 300 shades were woven by hand by the Etsy store Dreadlocks by Jena (a mother/daughter team), then individually knotted and braided into every model's hair.

Upon leaving the show, models showed off their colorful dreads post-show and clearly were loving their head-turning new look.

Wearing an oversized Frame denim jacket covered in patches, a cropped vintage muscle tee, and a pair of lace-up leather pants, Gigi kept her hairstyle even as she caught a flight out of the Big Apple right after.

Other than looking like they just stepped off the playa, the models and Jacobs himself were under fire for the huge multicolored wool dreadlocks. Many critics took to Twitter, claiming cultural appropriation for the bold dreaded style, especially since the majority of the models were white.

After the controversial look made headlines, the Marc Jacobs brand put out a statement, saying the look was inspired by rave culture, London 1980s fashion and and Harajuku girls -- but not rasta culture.

On Friday, Jacobs took to Instagram to defend himself on Friday, proclaiming, “I don’t see color or race -- I see people” and “funny how you don’t criticize women of color for straightening their hair.” Yikes! We can't imagine the people of the Internet liked that one!

We have to say -- we loved the Marc Jacobs collection, but that hair really was not our favorite for soooo many reasons!

While some onlookers may not have liked the dreaded style, Courtney Love, Demi Lovato and more were just some of the celebs who stepped out to support the NYFW show.

Both Demi and Courtney rocked out in all-black ensembles, and we were digging both of their styles!
