Another one bites the dust!

Liev Schreiber and Naomi Watts have split after 11 years together. They were never married, but they have two sons, Alexander "Sasha" Pete, 9, and Samuel "Sammy" Kai, 7.

The former couple said in a statement:
"Over the past few months we've come to the conclusion that the best way forward for us as a family is to separate as a couple. It is with great love, respect, and friendship in our hearts that we look forward to raising our children together and exploring this new phase of our relationship," the couple told ET in a joint statement. "While we appreciate your curiosity and support, we ask the press to be mindful of our children and respect their right to privacy."

We're so confused though! Earlier this month, Schreiber posted a photo of Watts in a sexy dress and leather boots and wrote, "Ay dios mio..." and around that time the two attended the Toronto Film Festival premiere of The Bleeder (pictured above), which both of them star in. Perhaps that caused some problems?

While we can't be sure, there were some warning signs earlier this year. In March Watts chatted with Entertainment Tonight about their bi-coastal schedules and revealed parenting gets tough sometimes. "There are days where you feel like you're supermom and doing really well and got it handled, and then there are days where you're like, 'Ah! I can't do this!'" she said. "It's like any working mom, I think. It's a balance."
