The heist took its toll on more people than just Kimmy K!

Kanye West had been struggling to keep it together and be the strong one in his and Kim Kardashian's relationship in the wake of her Paris robbery, and the stress of the situation was one of the many factors that contributed to his breakdown on Monday, People reports.

"Kim has had a very rough time since the robbery. It hasn’t helped that Kanye has been touring. Their lives have been quite chaotic. It’s been very trying for them both and not a good recipe for a happy marriage," a source told the outlet.

The reality star was the rock of their union before she was held up at gunpoint in early October, and when she had to take time out to deal with the trauma she experienced, the rapper simply spun out left with his own coping skills.

"Kim [was] usually the more stable and strong person in the marriage. Kanye is used to leaning on her. Since Kim has had her own issues to deal with, the roles have been reversed. Kanye has had to stay strong to support Kim, and it’s like he can’t handle it anymore," the source added, noting that he was "totally wiped out from touring and just can’t handle it emotionally."

It sounds like Ye just buckled under pressure without his wife as his sounding board. "It’s like Kanye is falling apart now, because Kim hasn’t been able to give him her full attention," the insider explained.
