The world is mourning the loss of a princess ...

After the death of Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford, who played Han Solo in the Star Wars trilogy, has released a statement about her passing: "Carrie was one-of-a-kind…brilliant, original. Funny and emotionally fearless. She lived her life, bravely...My thoughts are with her daughter Billie, her mother Debbie, her brother Todd, and her many friends. We will all miss her."

In addition, Fisher's real life mother, Debbie Reynolds, her onscreen brother, Mark Hamill, and many more have taken to social media to honor the late actress, who died this morning, days after suffering a heart attack mid flight on Dec. 23.

"Thank you to everyone who has embraced the gifts and talents of my beloved and amazing daughter. I am grateful for your thoughts and prayers that are now guiding her to her next stop. Love Carries Mother."

Hamill, who played her brother Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars films, posted a vintage snap of the pair, along with the caption, "No words #Devastated."

Billy Dee Williams, who played Lando Calrissian in the films, wrote, “I’m deeply saddened at the news of Carrie’s passing. She was a dear friend, whom I greatly respected and admired. The force is dark today!”
