Hidden Figures and Stranger Things were the big winners at tonight's Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Fox's historical drama about a trio of African-American mathematicians at NASA who played a vital role in John Glenn’s orbital flight in 1962 won the prize for top ensemble cast, with Taraji P. Henson accepting on behalf of the cast.

Denzel Washington's directorial effort in Fences was matched by his acting prowess in the film, as he took the prize for best actor and his co-star, Viola Davis, for best supporting actress. Emma Stone won for best actress for her role in La La Land; Mahershela Ali for best supporting actor for Moonlight.

Netflix series Stranger Things won for best drama series, following that show's win at the Producers' Guild Awards on Saturday. Orange Is the New Black won best comedy ensemble for the third straight year.
