It's official folks!

Madonna formally announced her adoption of twin girls from Malawi on Instagram today, and the singer sounds overjoyed with the expansion of her family.

"I can officially confirm I have completed the process of adopting twin sisters from Malawi and am overjoyed that they are now part of our family. I am deeply grateful to all those in Malawi who helped make this possible, and I ask the media please to respect our privacy during this transitional time. 🙏🏻 Thank you also to my friends, family and my very large team for all your support and Love! 💘🦋🦋🌺🌼🌸🦋🦋🙏🏻🙏🏻✈️✈️😂🤣🦋🦋♥️🌺🎈♥️," she captioned a photo of herself holding hands with her new daughters as they walk through a field.

The pop icon initially denied reports that she was adopting the 4-year-olds, and explained away her recent visits to the region as charity-related. If people had been paying attention, they would have noticed that the songstress posted a photo of the twins with daughter Lourdes during a trip back in July, prior to the adoption process being set in motion.

Madge's new daughters have been living in an orphanage for two years. Their father is still alive, but their mother died a week after child birth in 2012. They will travel to New York via a private jet within 24 hours to begin life with their new family.

Congrats everyone!
