What were they thinking?!

Kendall and Kylie Jenner got the bright idea to put their faces on vintage music t-shirts and sell them for $125 bucks a pop on their clothing line website, and people are pissed! The reality stars covered up musicians like Tupac and Biggie with their own mugs, and critics can't understand how they thought this was OK.

"One of a kind, perfectly worn vintage tee shirt. White Kylie graphic printed on individually hand picked rock tee. Sizing and styles will vary...All shirts are assorted and one of a kind. What you get may vary from your friends and what is pictured on site, as each tee shirt is a vintage original," the ad copy reads.

The sisters clearly heard the criticism loud and clear, because they removed some of the shirts that were available for sale. "Kendall Jenner selling a shirt with her face overlaid on top of tupac is literally racism and i won't stand for it," one Twitter user wrote.

Biggie's mom Voletta Wallace isn't having it.

“I am not sure who told @kyliejenner and @kendalljenner that they had the right to do this. The disrespect of these girls to not even reach out to me or anyone connected to the estate baffles me. I have no idea why they feel they can exploit the deaths of 2pac and my Son Christopher to sell a t-shirt. This is disrespectful , disgusting, and exploitation at its worst!!!” she wrote on Instagram.

UPDATE: Kendall and Kylie just issued an apology via Twitter.

"These designs were not well thought out and we deeply apologize to anyone that has been upset and/or offended, especially to the families of the artists. We are huge fans of their music and it was not our intention to disrespect these cultural icons in anyway. The tee shirts have been pulled from retail and all images have been removed. We will use this as an opportunity to learn from theses mistakes, and again we are very sorry," they said in a note.
