James Franco attended last night's SAG awards amid sexual misconduct allegations, which marks his first public appearance since his Golden Globes win. He opted to skip the red carpet, and ultimately lost to Gary Oldman in the Male Actor in a Leading Role category.

The Disaster Artist star's sister-in-law Alison Brie was asked about the accusations against him, and chose to defend him in a pre-show interview with Giuliana Rancic.

"I think that above all what we've always said is it remains vital that anyone that feels victimized should and does have the right to speak out and come forward. I obviously support my family. Not everything that has been reported is fully accurate. So I think we're waiting to get all the information. But of course now is the time for listening and that's what we're all trying to do,' she explained.

One person who couldn't face the music? Aziz Ansari! The comedian, who was nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series, skipped the award show, after being accused of sexual misconduct for a date gone wrong in a piece for Babe.net.
