Here come the excuses.

Roseanne is blaming the racist tweets that got her show canceled on the sleeping drug Ambien, saying that she wasn't operating on her best judgement when she made the remarks.

"Don’t feel sorry for me, guys!!-I just want to apologize to the hundreds of people, and wonderful writers (all liberal) and talented actors who lost their jobs on my show due to my stupid tweet. I will be on Joe Rogan’s podcast Friday,” she wrote on her social media account.

"Guys I did something unforgiveable so do not defend me. It was 2 in the morning and I was ambien tweeting-it was memorial day too-i went 2 far & do not want it defended-it was egregious Indefensible [sic]. I made a mistake I wish I hadn’t but…don’t defend it please. hey guys, don’t defend me, it’s sweet of you 2 try, but…losing my show is 0 compared 2 being labelled [sic] a racist over one tweet-that I regret even more," she added.

In case you missed it, the comedian wrote that Obama's former aide Valerie Jarrett looked like "the Muslim brotherhood and planet of the apes had a baby," and people were shocked and disgusted.

The fallout is real, too! Not only was Roseanne canceled despite great ratings, but Barr was dropped from her management agency, and reruns have been pulled from Paramount Network, TV Land and CMT.

The lesson here is to be mighty careful with a keyboard, folks!
