She's hanging in there, but it's been a struggle.

Demi Lovato is still hospitalized nearly a week after her overdose, because she is suffering health complications from her near-death incident, TMZ reports.

The singer is experiencing extreme nausea and high fevers, and she's so sick, there hasn't even been any discussions about her post-hopsital or rehab plans. Friends and family are hoping that she will be open to receiving treatment, but they haven't even gotten a chance to ask her because she's so ill.

“It’s too soon to say what the next steps are in terms of entering treatment. Right now everyone is focused on getting Demi physically healthy. Demi wasn’t doing well over the weekend. She came down with a fever and showed signs of an infection. She is currently being treated for issues that are very common after a drug overdose. She will need to stay in the hospital for a few more days, but is expected to make a full recovery," a source told People.

"She has her family and Wilmer with her and by her side every day. Everyone just wants to help get her to a healthy place," the source added.

Given the reports that she was reportedly abusing opiates after relapsing following six years of sobriety, it sounds like the "Skyscraper" songstress is simply going through the uncomfortable process of withdrawals.

If this isn't a wake-up call, we don't know what is!
