There are good points on both sides, being someone who's used copyrighted images off the net for "other things" I know there is a reason Perez draws his own little scribble on the photos, believe it or not that does make a diference......HOWEVER, Perez has gotten big enough and should be pulling in enough traffic to generate plenty of money from advertisers to cover the cost of either paying for his own photogs or paying to use the photos others take. Either way its a somewhat sticky legal situation.

As for Perez's site, it used to be much better, how he talks way too much about HIMSELF, where's hes gonna be, all the cool fagilicious things hes done...blah blah blah hes also doesn't update as often as he used to and plays favs with certain celebs ....I'm finding that more and more often I'm looking at x17 these days instead of Perez.

You lost on the injunction and I think that it was just a preview of things to come. Perez's use of the images is "transformative" and arguably a "fair use" under The Copyright Act. I don't think you have a case, especially given that what you are trying to do would effectively shut down a lot of web bloggers who certainly are entitled to comment upon and parody news items, images, etc.

There is a million possibilities, and frankly I imagine you will investigate all of them becuase its becomming more and more clear that you have nothing better to do.

It is not okay for Mario, aka Perez, to be stealing others' photographs. I don't care how many people think his site is better or that he's funnier. And scribbling comments on them doesn't get him off the hook for violating copyright. Also, copyright is governed primarily by Federal laws, so while California courts may have jurisdiction, they are bound by the principle of "stare decisis" to follow precedents on the matter.

I think at the root of all this is just jealousy on x17's part because his material and presentation is just honestly better and they want the competition eliminated. It also is really unattractive how there are always insults towards him and whining about the case, no one really cares and that is not what people come to this site for. Move on.

This website sucks! You guys are just jealous whiners that need to shut up and move on. Your dialogue is horrible with some creepy perv man that's obsessed with Jessica Biel! You know nothing about any of the celebrities and offer no humor. If Perez weren't so successful you wouldn't care. no one is going to like this site any more and hte only reason poeple come to this site is because Perez USED to give you props. Take that!

Perez' site is blatantly stealing x17online content. I'm a photographer. If I publish my copyrighted image on my website, and then my competitor, another photographer, saves my image to his computer, and then uploads my image to his website without my express, written permission (as the copyright holder), then everyone will agree that he has violated my copyright.

Also, the quality of Perez' site is suffering IMHO, perhaps due to Perez' effort to use his site as a springboard for his own fame.

I'm getting bored with Perez--he is, after all, a gossip columnist who steals the best part of his site (the pictures) from x17onlin

go get him x17,and yes perez readers and fans are lil thiefs too so what do you expect?somebody lock up that wana be celeb and throw away the key in the ocean,sick and tired of seeing and hearing about that trash can.
