Okay, so Britney didn't really leave rehab, she just went to an AA meeting in Santa Monica -- her first field trip outside of the treatment facility, that we know of, and Britney was in good spirits and looking wonderful! Britney was smiling and happy and -- I may be going out on a limb here -- seemingly happy to see us!

PETA activist Pamela Anderson, largely responsible for the popularity of Uggs after sporting them for years on the set of Baywatch with her red bathing suit, has finally decided that wearing sheepskin on her feet might conflict with her animal rights work. Pam wrote on her website:

People like to tell me all the time that I started that trend - yikes! Well lets start a new one - do NOT buy Uggs! ... I'm looking for alternatives myself for my boys and the men in my life! I'm designing some right now ... It's what I grab by my door in the mornings to bring my kids to school or walk my dog on the beach at 6am or anything early - I've definitely over used them - and that's it!!!!

The Daily Telegraph reports that Dan Matthews, VP of PETA, says the actress knew for years the boots were made from sheepskin and that the organization had discussed it with her a few years back and that's when she stopped wearing them. Well according to our cameras, Pam was sporting the animal skin as recently as last June, as seen in the first pic (above) ...
